50 years of Holonite!

Holonite is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year. Since its founding on August 12, 1969, Holonite has achieved a leading position within the construction and frame industry in the field of composite stone. This is quite an achievement, which we at Holonite are extremely proud of.

Holonite manufactures and distributes facade and finishing elements. We have a very extensive standard product range including sills, window sills, window sills and wall coverings, all in different colors and textures. Through our experience and expertise, we offer the ability to customize facade and finishing elements for renovation and new construction projects. Over the years, we have made a name for ourselves in the frame industry with our waterproof and low-maintenance sill systems. Holonite sill systems fit seamlessly with wooden, plastic and aluminum window frames.

50 years ago, Holonite started as a Brabant company on Calandweg in Bergen op Zoom. In 1977 Holonite relocated all its business activities to the Industrieweg in Halsteren, and then in phases from 1996 to establish itself in the current premises at Welgelegen business park in Tholen, Zeeland. Since 2002 all our company activities have been based at this location in Tholen.

Holonite puts its sales focus on the business market (business-to-business), from architect to contractor and from housing cooperative to the professional building materials dealer. However, in the past Holonite did try to approach the consumer directly by opening a shop in Bergen op Zoom. The great success did not materialize after which it was decided to sell Holonite products only through business-to-business channels. For the private market, however, it is possible to buy our standard products from stock through professional building materials dealers. Custom products can be requested through these professional building materials dealers.

Our business strategy has changed significantly over the years. The demand for the most sustainable product possible has become enormously important in recent years. As part of corporate social responsibility, Holonite takes responsibility for the effects of its business activities on people and the environment. How do we do this? By producing our products based on responsible behavior; in other words, we make very conscious choices to achieve the right balance between People, Planet and Profit. Holonite products are Cradle to Cradle certified (bronze and silver). As part of sustainable product developments, a number of high quality innovative building products have also been produced and introduced to the market by Holonite, including our very well known low-relief sills. On request it is also possible to produce your product Biobased.
