South Quay buyers excited about their bathrooms and plumbing fixtures

LUXURY BATHROOMS AT THE RIGHT PRICE

Duravit manufactures a full range of bathroom furniture in its own factories. This includes ceramics, baths and showers, as well as faucets and accessories. Developer MRP Development was interested in these products for Zuidkade. It is one of the first projects the two companies entered into together. “We sat down with each other to explain our view,” says Vince Hoogenraad, chief project manager at Duravit. “The location is super and the apartments are very nice. With that comes quality bathrooms. We didn't think this was reflected in the specifications that were there. So we made a proposal with a piece of furniture of ours that looks nice and has a good price. This allowed us to offer more luxurious bathrooms within the budget set. Then we took on the project together.”

Upgrade

Duravit supplied the complete bathrooms and separate toilets, including all accessories. This meant that the client and buyers had only one point of contact for all products. Hoogenraad noticed that the buyers responded enthusiastically to their new bathrooms. “Through the platform Your House, Your Wishes they could make choices and possibly go for additional work. If the standard plumbing fits the home, people are less likely to choose shell. They upgrade or leave it as is.”

This project provided a good basis for cooperation with MRP. It has since chosen Duravit's products. Hoogenraad: “We are able to put together a suitable specification in any home, for any price range.”
