The appearance of Caravan Centrum Meerkerk is largely determined by the facade cladding. The dark brown-green color and metallic coating of the facade panels give the building a chic appearance, beautifully fitting into its surroundings.

Supplier and installer of the cladding was Cladding Partners. In addition to installing the sandwich panels and cladding them with the dark wall panels, they made the steel roof and roofing. To do this, it worked with several other contractors. "To do the work in the right order, we were dependent on each other," says Jelco de Jong, project manager of Cladding Partners. "That's why we prepared the work together and then executed it together. That cooperation went perfectly."

Seamless connection

The assembly of the wall plates required great precision. Despite the varying dimensions, the plates had to fit together seamlessly. "For this we have been working with a permanent, external assembly team for years," De Jong explains. "No matter how perfectly we produce and deliver the plates, they determine the end result. This starts right from the assembly of the first plate. This one may seem the easiest, but it determines the lines of all the other plates. At Caravan Centrum Meerkerk, these fitters have again delivered true craftsmanship."

That also makes De Jong very pleased with the final result. "The color was selected by the architect and I had my doubts about it," he confesses. "But now that I see it on the large surface, I can only say that it is the perfect color for this building. In addition, the panels are made of a durable material that is easy to clean. Caravan Centrum Meerkerk can use this for many years to come."
