Already in the planning phase of the transformation from school to apartment complex, the main contractor involved Reppel in the project. This manufacturer and supplier of floor systems and fireproof products supplied the floors for the building.
"At Reppel, we value service, quality and advice," says Benelux sales manager Bob van der Horst. "We like to achieve a good result together with the project developer, architect and contractor. Both in new construction and renovations."
Reppel prepares comprehensive recommendations and quotes for both contractors and developers. "They then get a list of the items they need, including assembly advice. And if necessary, we can also provide on-site project and
giving work guidance."
MainStaete Vastgoed approached Reppel for advice on the application of the floors in project Skola. "Since this is an existing building, MainStaete wanted the floors to be able to be brought inside by hand. For this they were looking for a thin and light solution that could be finished with concrete. Our HODY steel plate concrete floors meet this requirement and were the perfect solution for this project. Mainstaete put us in contact with Aadam Architects. We made proposals for the details of the floors, which the architect was able to incorporate into the design."
A fine way of working, Van der Horst believes. "Such a collaboration with an architect happens more often, but not on a weekly basis, while it is the ideal way to both use your knowledge to the fullest." Reppel's HODY steel plate concrete floors were also used outdoors, as a kind of terrace. "For that, we modified the steel quality of the system. This also made it resistant to weathering."
Van der Horst looks back on the course of the project with satisfaction. "We really did it together. So we also supplied all the accessories and indicated how everything had to be assembled. That way you arrive at the best solution together and there are no nasty surprises. After all, everything has been calculated and agreed in advance."
