Roval Aluminium was commissioned by UBA Bouw B.V. to provide the aluminum detailing for various residential blocks. The most recent phase are the 298 apartments, 21 single-family houses and parking garage that make up Hof van Spartaan, a sub-plan of the new housing estate. By the way, the neighborhood takes its name from the soccer fields of VVA/Spartaan, around which the blocks are built.
Tony Vroegop of Roval Aluminium says that Roval has been involved from the very first phase: "With UBA Bouw B.V., we were working with a contractor who ideally handles large projects like this perfectly. We already supplied aluminum detailing for court projects A and B, in the form of aluminum wall coverings, fascias, copings, waterslides, window surrounds and eaves. We also produced and supplied a significant amount of aluminum detailing for the final phase."
According to Vroegop, Roval Aluminium's share does not consist of standard solutions. "No, definitely not. Some custom detailing was quite complicated. For example, we made and delivered special watercourses that ran from twenty centimeters wide to one meter wide. Those are not standard proportions. We also supplied wall covering systems and fascia boards for this phase. In addition, albeit to a somewhat more limited extent, our baluster systems were incorporated, which combine very well with the aluminum wall coverings. We also supplied aluminum ceiling plates. In UBA Bouw B.V. we found a critical construction partner, who, like us, is quality-driven. In the end, we arrived at good solutions with beautiful aluminum detailing."
Sustainability is characteristic of Hof van Spartaan. All homes are built without a gas connection and equipped with sustainable energy installations. Aluminum as a low-maintenance building material fits perfectly with this sustainability aim.
