After months of preparation and hard work, Leviat employees will move on July 1 to a beautiful, new and modern office building in Hengelo, which offers plenty of room for growth, innovation and well-being.
Leviat is a world leader in lifting, connecting and anchoring systems, which enable contractors and concrete manufacturers to build in a demountable, sustainable and circular way. Without sacrificing strength, rigidity and stability. "Our strength lies in the combination of high-quality products and people," says Country Manager Herbert Plecht. "We are known for our quality, delivery reliability and strong, efficient logistics processes. With an extensive and constantly innovative product range, we serve the market with solutions that matter. However, our real added value lies in the personal, technical advice that our team offers every day. That's why customers keep coming back to us - and new customers join every week."
"Over the past year, we have outgrown our existing space," Plecht says. "Of course, we first looked for expansion opportunities at our current location, but they turned out to be insufficient. For example, it was not possible to create additional parking space. Moreover, the landlord was keen to start using the premises himself." With the move comes an end to fifteen wonderful years in Borne, he says. "In 2010, we moved with about 25 colleagues from Enter to Borne, where we grew to 47 people. Moreover, in November 2024 the Borne and Deventer branches merged, so literally every workplace in our building is now occupied. Still, ten vacancies are currently open and we expect further growth in the future as well. Both in employees, relationships and products. That is why we are moving on July 1 to a modern office at Slachthuisweg 10 in Hengelo, which offers plenty of room for growth, innovation and well-being. The building offers an inspiring new working environment for our team."
"In the past six months, the Leviat team has expanded to include five new talents," Plecht says. "We are incredibly happy about that, but our search is far from over. We are still looking for several talented professionals to join our team. These professionals can count on a wonderful position and a very comfortable workplace at a very nice company. As an organization, our ambition is to become the most interesting employer in the region. To make this possible, we have completely gutted and refurbished our new premises in accordance with current requirements and employee wishes. With state-of-the-art facilities and a design that promotes collaboration and creativity, we are ready to face the future."
"Our new building is not only pleasing to the eye, but also a model of sustainability and innovation," says Sales Manager Meerten Siertsema. "The building is very open, transparent and light. Employees have spacious workplaces, which can be air-conditioned according to demand. Moreover, they can make use of numerous modern facilities, such as a company restaurant, sports room, relaxation area and a spacious roof terrace. In short: everything for working with pleasure and focus. We have a large meeting room where entire departments - supported by the right equipment - can confer comfortably and effectively. Both nationally and internationally. But also a fantastic (customer) reception area, where a complete range of lifting, connecting and anchoring systems is on display. Customers can also view and experience our products in our technical training room. Physically - on a large gable wall or concrete table, but also digitally." On a large touch screen, the products are demonstrated in various applications, says Manager Facade Department Kim Lenferink. "We can also play our latest product animations here. Animations that from now on - with the help of a QR code - will also be available on the construction site. With this we are responding to the wishes of more and more clients."
Leviat's new building has more than sixty parking spaces and ample charging facilities for electric cars and bicycles, Lenferink said. "Because our building is a stone's throw from the A1 and A35 motorways and on the bicycle highway, employees and visitors can reach us quickly and safely. The imposing white facade with Leviathat logo catches the eye from afar."
Following the current requirements and employee needs, Leviat is also focusing on the needs of Generation Z. "We offer excellent growth opportunities, a dynamic corporate culture and numerous benefits that set us apart as an employer," Plecht says. "Great examples of this are the flexible working hours, work-from-home options, a very attractive lease-bike arrangement, extensive sports facilities (with coaching!) and a café-style relaxation area with darts, foosball table and more, where you can connect with colleagues in a different way. But also the nice atmosphere and the "living room feeling," which ensure that employees enjoy coming to work every day. Each floor is self-sufficient, with its own coffee machines, sanitary facilities and printers. Exactly what you expect from a new building."
Also unique are the extensive development opportunities, Lenferink said. "At Leviat, development does not stop with the position. There are plenty of training opportunities and we encourage further development, also internationally within Leviat Europe or even within the CRH Group." Siertsema: "Our misse is clear. We want to build the world of tomorrow together, with attention to people and the environment. That is why we are looking for colleagues who want to grow with us and build a sustainable future." Plecht: "At Leviath is all about cooperation. In a close team, where 'a deal is a deal' is not just a motto, but a way of working. With great colleagues who know how to combine fun and professionalism in - soon - a new, modern and very comfortable new building."
