Delta Development Group and VolkerWessels Logistics Development (a VolkerWessels company) have started construction of their ABC Square project. To this end, the environmental permit was issued and the land was recently acquired at 65-67 Airborne Avenue. This location is on Schiphol Trade Park, the circular business park located near Schiphol Airport. The contractor is Systabo B.V. (a VolkerWessels company).
Flexible, circular and efficient
These are the core concepts of ABC Square, which will have a total area of 37,000 m² of high-quality business space, representative offices and multifunctional spaces. On the west side are the large-scale business spaces for production, storage and logistics and the east side is a lively street with office space with its own identity in an environment of greenery.
With units starting at 4,000 sq. ft. that can be linked together, a lot of flexibility is created. The possibilities of combining business space with the multifunctional space make the project interesting for a wide group of users. The space can be used as a showroom, test,- and production space or office. In addition to logistics service providers, regional trading companies and high-tech companies can also use it.
ABC Square is being built under the architecture of OPL Architects. The building is an example in circular construction, modular construction and Cradle to Cradle optimized. Thus, the building provides future-proofing for different users. In addition, the building is not connected to the gas grid and is therefore fully electric. The solar park on the roof ensures that the building is completely self-sufficient and also generates energy for other users on the business park.
Sales and rental
Barings Real Estate, part of Barings LLC, one of the world's largest diversified real estate investors, purchased the project as part of its pan-European strategy on behalf of institutional investors. In doing so, they were advised by European Logistics Real Estate Partners. Van Gool Elburg and Cushman & Wakefield are handling the leasing.
