Bouwhekken Nederland works from one location in Friesland, with a large stock of materials and a close-knit team of about fifteen employees. This makes rapid switching possible, explains account manager Gerrit-Klaas Gerritsma. “We try to send a quotation within a few hours of request. Because of our stock, we can deliver within one or two days. Customers appreciate that.”
The company supplies two major worlds: construction and infra on one side, festivals and events on the other, roughly in equal proportions. That mix makes for broad knowledge of safety, logistics and temporary fencing.
For the expansion of Kliniek Rotterdam Alexander, Bouwhekken Nederland is supplying fences, clamps and poles to contractor AKOR. A project with extra focal points because care must continue to be provided during the work. “We made deliveries in January and May,” says Gerritsma. “Pre-galvanized construction fences were used for this project. These are lighter and therefore practical to use for this project.”
The team thinks extensively and, if necessary, gives advice on numbers, type of fencing and execution. “A project must always be securely fenced, but there are also many options. In this, we always look at what works practically and what fits within the budget.”
Bouwhekken Nederland is known for its reliability, short lines and transparent agreements. “No words, but deeds,” says Gerritsma. “We load everything into the trucks ourselves, so we can be sure it's right. Again, safety and care are always number one.” He says the cooperation with AKOR tastes like more. Not only because of the smooth execution, but also because of the clear communication. “We are now in talks about what we can do for the contractor in the future. This challenging clinic is a great starting point for a loyal partnership.”
