Soon WEBO with the HoutAlu-Kozijn® will be the first frame supplier to get a product card on the National Environmental Database under LCA category 1. The inclusion in LCA (life cycle analysis) category 1 makes the HoutAlu-Kozijn® particularly interesting for projects eligible for the subsidy scheme Environmental Investment Allowance (MIA). With the WoodAlu-Frame® You combine the best of both worlds: on the inside you have the warm look of wood and on the outside the sleek look of aluminum. Wood-aluminum window frames also offer a solution for meeting the BENG or NOM requirement. In fact, wood insulates up to 1770 times better than aluminum. In addition, wood is naturally circular because it stores CO2. In addition to its appearance and performance, the HoutAlu-Kozijn® is a cost-effective alternative to all-aluminum window frames. The HoutAlu-Kozijn® can be fitted with both HR++ and triple glazing.
Characteristics:
Wood-aluminum window frames are supplied with a CE mark and carry an FSC®, PEFC™ and/or STIP® certificate. The window frames comply with BENG as standard, but can also be engineered and delivered according to the NOM standard. This makes you completely ready for 2050.
Circular structures may be eligible for the subsidy scheme Environmental Investment Allowance (MIA) . This requires an LCA on the entire structure that demonstrates that the building meets the requirements. In addition, the requirement is for at least 5 building materials have been incorporated into the building that have a category 1 product card in the National Environmental Database are included. Also, these materials must consist of at least 50 percent recycled raw materials or that are suitable for reuse (at least 20 percent).
The figures from the LCA of the Wood-Alu-Frame® prepared by SHR show that the product is more than compliant and has a low environmental impact.
