In modern distribution centers, internal traffic never stops. Forklifts are constantly moving between storage areas, shipping, and production. The RT1000 opens at a maximum speed of 1.75 meters per second and closes at 0.6 meters per second. That’s fast enough to prevent wait times, yet careful enough to minimize heat loss.
The door features 50 mm of foam insulation and has a heat transfer coefficient of 1.4 W/(m²K) for the door panel. Side frame and lintel seals prevent thermal bridges. This keeps the indoor climate stable, even with dozens of openings per hour.

The RT1000 is built using existing ASSA ABLOY components that are also used in other door models. Commonly used parts are kept in stock at the service center in Heerhugowaard. This ensures short delivery times in the event of malfunctions and predictable maintenance.
The integrated drive unit does not require any additional space above or next to the opening. As a result, the door can also be installed in existing buildings where ceiling or wall space is limited.
Through the ASSA ABLOY Insight digital platform, users can see how the door is operating in real time. Door status, availability, energy consumption, and performance indicators are always visible. This allows facility managers to take proactive action before anything goes wrong.
