Mini-sized video panels for minimal impact on original design

Door communication specialist Vercoma is supplying the door video system for Bosleeuw Block 3 project. Because the building is a protected cityscape, door video panels in mini format were chosen.

"The camera-speaker panels have as little impact as possible on the original design of the facades. We produce the V-Style series ourselves," said Arjan Schouten, manager of sales & service at Vercoma. Each of the 42 porches will have a mini surface-mounted panel. In the apartments, a basic model monitor with horn has been chosen. 

Protected status

Vercoma has been supplying housing association Stadgenoot for years and has also been working with main contractor Hemubo on various projects for a long time. Schouten: "So we know exactly what we need from each other. In this case, the renovation presented some challenges because of the protected status of the building. No chopping is allowed in the facades and the wish was for an exterior door panel in mini format, without compromising on quality and function."

Great thought was given to what was needed for this project. In addition to the mini-format outdoor units, Vercoma supplies the monitors in the apartments complete with a reducer plate behind them to neatly cover the wallpaper spots of the old device. After all, the residents must "look up to the device" for at least the next fifteen years. In connection with the reuse of the old infrastructure, it is equipped with thermally protected splitters at the apartment level. Schouten: "If a resident causes a short circuit, for example when wallpapering or painting, the other residents are not affected. An additional major advantage of the applied system is that it can function excellently on the existing cabling."

At home Vercoma also supplies the storey bell pushers; robust metal mailbox bell pushers in a sturdy surface-mounted ABS housing. These are of better quality than the usual ones and are waterproof.
