Also involved in the construction of the new high-rise warehouse in Almelo is Uithoorn-based Asona Acoustic Solutions. The company, founded in 1978, is a specialist in acoustics and has been installing a wide range of high-quality, sound-absorbing products on ceilings and walls worldwide for more than 40 years.
Account Manager Vincent Brugman says, "Asona is a global company, with a global network of more than 40 partners, active in acoustic markets in Europe, USA, Middle East and Asia. Asona products and application services are available in many places around the world. Architects and property owners meanwhile know the way to us well. Asona introduced its acoustic products just under fifty years ago from its facility in Holland and is both a manufacturer and an applicator of its products. Asona products are designed to create acoustically pleasant living and working environments and also to prevent noise, so that the latest building requirements are also met."
The origins of Asona products include environmentally friendly and natural base products such as cellulose, which are applied with a special spray technique to virtually any architectural substrate such as concrete, drywall or metal. "The product then provides four architectural qualities: effective sound absorption, thermal insulation, fire protection and a decorative finish in multiple colors," Brugman said. "In many cases, Sonaspray® proves to be the most cost-effective solution to meet acoustical requirements. Systabo B.V., the main contractor for the project, with whom we have had the privilege of working on many occasions, asked us to supply and install over 500 m2 of Sonaspray type SP for Timberland Europe in the color Noble Grey."
"Many years of intensive marketing have given Asona such a name and reputation that many people in the building industry think of Asona when acoustical services and products are discussed," Brugman said. "Common applications can be found in offices, schools, sports facilities, swimming pools and airports such as Schiphol Airport, Hamad International Airport in Doha Qatar and many others in Europe and the US. We were also allowed to improve the acoustics in many restaurants worldwide and it is common for us to relieve livings in residential buildings from irritating sound reflections."
