Several Van der Sluis business units are collaborating on the project. For example, Van der Sluis Utiliteit is installing the five-pipe distribution system for heating and cooling. Van der Sluis Woningbouw and Versan Adviescentrum are taking care of the connection of the installations in the home, the tiling and the plumbing. "Because we all belong to the same company, we can coordinate the work integrally," says Pascal Kemerink, projects team leader at Van der Sluis Utiliteit. "Moreover, the lines of communication are short. We can switch quickly among ourselves. That's nice for our clients Vaanster and Koopmans, whom we relieve in this way."

Vaanster approached Van der Sluis in 2019 to design the heating and cooling distribution system. The engineers reviewed and calculated the installation design and made some optimizations. In the parking garage, for example, the suspension of the W and E routes were combined. Van der Sluis also contributed to the BIM process, in which all disciplines were aligned. Any clashes were resolved at an early stage. Kemerink: "The heat and cold are generated by open sources in the ground. We ensure that this heat and cold reaches the residents in the apartments. From the technical space, we lay the transport pipes for low-temperature heating, high-temperature heating and high-temperature cooling. We connect the high-temperature heating pipes in the apartments to the delivery sets for hot water preparation. We provide the other pipes with valves. We also supply and install the heat and cold metering."
At the time of writing, the finishing touches are being put on the installation work in Castalia and Kalliope. Van der Sluis is proud of the result. With the integral cooperation, the company has shown its strength. The biggest compliment goes to the mechanics. Together they have delivered a fine piece of installation work.
