Prefabricated roofs in extensive renovation project

Together with Nijhuis Bouw, De Groot Vroomshoop is renovating roofs within the major maintenance of Klein Driene in Hengelo. This is being done according to Nijhuis Bouw's Trento renovation concept. 210 houses belonging to housing corporation Welbions will be given a new roof. Nijhuis Bouw deliberately chooses permanent partners for this type of extensive renovation job. And for prefab!

De Groot Vroomshoop's wooden roof elements are produced prefabricated as standard. This has advantages for our clients, but also for the residents. The renovation is faster and safer, we are much less dependent on rain and wind, and the products fit seamlessly with the existing construction. We can keep storage space and construction waste on site to a minimum.

The construction partners measured the roofs together on site. De Groot Vroomshoop produces and delivers the roof elements that are prefabricated with roof windows, recesses and tile battens. Nijhuis Bouw takes care of the construction and assembly. In most houses, the roof boarding is retained and the prefab roofs are installed over it.

A third of the work has now been done and the collaboration is going well. There is a click and a shared ambition to do more of these large-scale roof renovations. De Groot Vroomshoop is already a well-known player when it comes to storages and facades in sustainable renovation of existing residential areas.
