It involved several residential blocks with various types of masonry and types of bricks. A year of work was done on the project, says director Sander Verhagen, who took over the company in January.
Haverhals Metselwerken carried out the work for Palenstein on behalf of Waal Bouw. That is a regular partner of the company and so both know what they can get out of each other. "We had a nice team and worked with a regular foreman. It's special to be able to do this project, because you have to have a bit of craftsmanship for it," Verhagen says. As an example, he cites the standing masonry, which turned out very nicely. "We worked there for a year with an average of sixteen men. Because we have enough staff and think with the client, we can do this kind of work just fine."
In January, Verhagen took over Haverhals Metselwerken from its former owner. As a result, the company has many innovations. "We are going to work more with BIM and can calculate quantities with Solibri and Bluebeam. We are a future-oriented company that is nicely on its way."
