Thanks in part to over 50 years of experience, Hoco Concrete is able to arrive at a solution with precast concrete for every conceivable application.
Hoco Concrete has all the disciplines necessary to achieve a good result. By doing everything in-house, the engineers, mold makers, iron braiders and production hall can switch quickly. In this way, no unnecessary time is lost in operations at outside companies, for example. "Our engineering department uses the latest techniques, with regard to drawing and calculation software," says company manager Luc Op de Beke. "With our highly qualified staff and our extensive experience in constructing in concrete, we are able to calculate and draw the most complex structures. The use of BIM software allows us to exchange BIM models with all possible parties involved in engineering. Coordination problems between the installers and other parties involved are therefore a thing of the past."

For the new residential area 'Bij de Zijl' on the former ROC site in Leiderdorp, Hoco Beton supplied the sandwich elements.
Hoco Beton is constantly optimizing its processes, Op de Beke points out. "Our engineering department now does everything in BIM, with the 3D models we control the processes in our factory. For example, parts lists are generated, which are used to purchase required built-in fittings. In addition, the 3D modeled reinforcements can be converted to production data, which is used to control the bending and mesh welding machine." The latest innovation Hoco Concrete has been working on is the Hololens. "We have been using the Hololens since the beginning of this year," says Op de Beke. "With this Hololens, augmented reality is used to project rebar or other elements onto the production table. This technique enables documentless production. The first results of the Hololens show that we can work more efficiently and that failure costs are reduced. With this technique we will eventually no longer need paper drawings."

Hoco Concrete can think far along in the detailing of concrete elements.
The Weert-based company has existed since 1965 and has focused on the specialized supply of precast concrete building elements since 1973. "This was chosen at the time because the company saw opportunities in the precast market," Op de Beke indicates. "Thanks to our extensive experience, we can think far along in the detailing of concrete elements. This is becoming increasingly important as architects are going further and further in their creations. This is why we like to present ourselves as a partner of all kinds of construction companies and are also happy to think along in customized solutions. As part of a project team, we can work in consultation with the contractor, architect and structural engineer to find the best custom solution, and with our knowledge we ensure that work is done cost-effectively."

With its precast concrete elements, Hoco Beton focuses mainly on new construction projects in the Randstad, especially Amsterdam and Rotterdam. "That's where most of the tall buildings are built," explains head of business office Renaud Clermont. "For example, we supply architectural concrete, such as balconies and galleries with cast-in-place parapets equipped with stone strips, structural walls and precast concrete in various colors. We also provide shells in residential, commercial and infra construction, including galleries, stairs, balconies and sandwich elements." In the latter, the company applies Schöck-isolink, the latest technique in sandwich anchoring systems. This technique optimizes cold bridges, which guarantees better insulation. For example, for the new residential area 'Bij de Zijl' on the former ROC site in Leiderdorp, Hoco Beton supplied sandwich elements in combination with this system. Another special feature of this project was that a wind and watertight façade system was designed in collaboration with Vink Bouw. The level of finish of these elements meant that it was possible to build without scaffolding.
