Daan: "I had already made the decision to take a step back for myself several years ago well before my retirement. I want to reserve more time for the other positions I hold besides VORM Holding. The positive developments of the past few years within VORM and the confidence in Hans, with whom I have developed the company over the past 20 years, and his partly new management team, make this a good time. Together with the recent appointment of the Supervisory Board, this ensures that the continuity and direction of the company is in good hands."
VORM's organizational mission is a social mission: to improve livability in Dutch neighborhoods, accelerate the construction of affordable housing and make real estate more sustainable. Among other things, VORM invests in social and sector-wide initiatives that stimulate innovation and digital acceleration in the real estate sector.
William van Niekerk, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of VORM: "We fully respect Daan's decision and as Supervisory Board look forward to continuing our working relationship with him as an entrepreneurial shareholder. Under Daan and Hans, the company has grown more than seven times. There is a solid management, strategy and organization in place and the company is financially healthy. We are going to support Daan, Hans and the management team in their desire to grow the company further, responsibly and with an eye for its social role: to accelerate the construction of affordable housing and to actively contribute to improving the quality of life in neighborhoods."
In addition to being a shareholder of VORM Holding, Daan will invest more time in his family and his other activities, including his investment company, directorships, real estate portfolio.
