Garden of North, Rotterdam | Standard work with a challenge here and there

Working with a reliable partner for all wood joinery needs

Many construction companies like to rely on experienced subcontractors in the realization of their projects. BIK bouw, for example, has been a loyal customer of CPI BV for many years. For the various phases of Tuin van Noord in Rotterdam, the joinery factory also supplied window and entrance frames, stairwell frames, doors and roof elements, among other things. The first delivery dates from last year, but even today the specialist continues to receive orders and requests for new elements, for the further finishing of the cell wings, the former Detention House and the Women's Wing, among others.

CNC Product Innovation, or CPI BV from Ridderkerk for short, is one of BIK bouw's regular partners in the realization of a wide variety of new construction and renovation projects. "Our cooperation started in the past with the production of a few frames and doors, but systematically we were called in more and more for the elaboration and production of all kinds of building elements in wood. We produce windows, doors, frames, flashings, roof elements, stairs, ..., but also special elements such as decorative mouldings and transport blocks," says Managing Director Patrick Maljers. "A quality finish and fast, reliable delivery come first with us. Thanks to our experienced staff and modern machinery including 4- and 5-axis CNC machining centers, we can respond flexibly to any market demand, from architects, contractors and private individuals for the most diverse projects, such as new homes, offices, schools, care institutions, stores, but also for ship paneling, renovations and restorations."

Garden of North

When BIK bouw was commissioned to realize various subprojects within the Garden of North transformation project, CPI BV was also involved in the elaboration and production of various wooden building elements. "The production of the first window frames and other elements for this prestige project already date from last year, but also this year we have already delivered quite a few elements for the House of Detention, the Chapel, the Hofpoort and the Women's Wing, among others," Maljers indicates. "Although this project can be considered day-to-day business, there are still some challenges involved here and there, such as the full oak window frames for the front doors, the energy-efficient rear window frames and the roof of the new-build part of the House of Detention, which we developed together with BIK Construction to bridge the desired spans and slopes. This project is not yet complete for us. Among other things, we are still involved in the frame work in the homes of the former cell wings from Phase 1, and even today, new orders and even price requests for Garden of North continue to come in."
