Platform on new construction, renovation, restoration and transformation
Buildings with museum conditions require specialized air treatment systems. For this reason, Condair supplies 15 adiabatic humidification systems and 5 water treatment systems for both the renovation parts and the new construction at Paleis Het Loo. "We arrange everything from design to maintenance," says account manager Ton Burgers.
As a regular customer of the palace, and supplier to the Rijksmuseum, among others, Condair is familiar with the building and its conditions. An assessment of the new climate requirements also had to be made for each room at Paleis Het Loo, in consultation with the installation engineering consultant and client. "We are working here with adiabatic humidification systems, installed in the air handling units," says Burgers. "The humidifiers introduce a cold water mist into the warm air stream; this is then post-evaporated on ceramic plates. The increased humidity in the building - tailored to the specific space, provides better conditions regarding art conservation and a more pleasant living environment."
"Also in the context of hygiene," continues marketing coordinator Stefan Rijsmus. "Independent institutes rule out the possibility of contamination altogether. This makes our adiabatic humidifiers 100%, among others, hygienically and safely applicable in museums and hospitals." Burgers: "We arrange everything from design to installation, under very critical conditions regarding climate requirements and available space. In this way we deliver added value for the end user. Our systems work together with those of other specialties, such as measurement and control technology. Naturally, we also supervise integral commissioning. If required, the maintenance of the systems can be included in multi-year contracts."
