Mechanical ventilation technology for apartments Prince Henry building

Any transformation requires good ventilation. For the Prins Hendrik building on the Zoutmanstraat, FRC ventilatie techniek bv took up this challenge with both hands. Pascal Funke, co-owner of the company, tells us all about the role of FRC ventilatie techniek bv in this project and how they made the process run smoothly.

Since 2019, Funke and his colleagues have been engaged in ventilation technology for renovation and transformation projects. These often involve homes and smaller commercial properties. The transformation of the Prince Henry Building fits perfectly in their alley. "We love our profession. We work under the motto: 'for every problem there is a solution.' That's why we think along and are always there for the client."

Mechanical ventilation

FRC ventilatie techniek bv is providing the mechanical ventilation for the new apartments in the Prins Hendrik building. How that works. "Heat pump devices heat the apartments. We connect these on the air side. We also install an air duct system in the ceiling of the apartments. These ducts go to the kitchen, bathroom, toilet and storage room, for example."

"These are all spaces where there is heat, so good ventilation is important here," Funke continued. "Through a mechanical ventilation unit, the warm air is extracted. Normally this air is blown outside, but we take a different approach. We make sure that the warm air is blown into the heat pump. In this way, you create additional heat in the heat pump without effort and you have a better efficiency. It's a safe solution and also more energy efficient!"

Communication and collaboration

Funke and his colleagues find it important to make every project run smoothly. Therefore, they try to tackle challenges immediately. "We always ensure good communication and cooperation with the plumbing installer, in this case SPIE Building Solutions. After all, we are both working on the installation in the ceilings, and then of course it is convenient if we do not run into each other. Together we are strong: with good communication, we bring every project to a successful conclusion!"
