Sanitary and air conditioning systems

For project Grizzly at Pivot Park in Oss, Klimaatservice Holland is providing the sanitary and climate installations. Michel van den Mosselaar, designer at Klimaatservice Holland: "On the roof we are installing four air/water heat pumps: one four-pipe and three two-pipe systems. With these, the entire building can be cooled and heated."

There are also four air handling units in the rooftop technology room, in which ventilation air is heated or cooled. The air then goes through ring ducts to the floors of the building. These cabinets are linked together to make one large system. "Normally we install separate systems, but if one were to fail in this case, another takes over. Important, because the building consists of office spaces and a laboratory, where the temperature must be constant. Therefore, the air ducts and the extraction system to which fume hoods are connected were also given a special coating. This makes the system resistant to chemicals and ensures the correct
ventilation value guaranteed." 

Because the research facilities must meet strict safety requirements, main contractor Dura Vermeer involved both Klimaatservice Holland and Van den Pol Elektrotechniek in the project at an early stage. "We often work together with both Dura Vermeer and Van den Pol, an installer with an electrical engineering branch. On laboratory buildings, but also on offices at Amsterdam's Zuidas, for example," Van den Mosselaar said. "We work together with great regularity. We are well attuned to each other and know what we can do with each other. That works pleasantly together."
