At the Waterside II project in Rotterdam, Installatietechniek Vink is responsible for the installation of the ventilation system in the apartments, dwellings and parking garage. "We are super proud that we can make this."
Owner Björn Vink rolled into the project by accident: the company is currently busy installing ventilation ducts in the project's 124 homes. "When I took on the job, there were a total of two of us working within the company. This job allowed my company to grow quickly and now there are five of us, including a technical draftsman. We are super proud to be able to make this and very happy with where we are now with the company."
The installation company provides the apartments and ground-level houses with a balanced ventilation system with heat recovery and with mechanical supply and exhaust. Here the heat from the ventilation return air is transferred to the fresh supply air. Control based on CO2 ensures ventilation only where and when it is needed. "We use Duco ventilation boxes and duct systems from Dyka Air for this; products that are made in the Netherlands and Belgium and are readily available."
For now, the installer will be working at the complex for some time. Vink expects to be finished by the end of December. "It will be a very beautiful building, but the shape makes the work somewhat complex. Because the building will be higher in steps, there will also be some changes in the installation system. Fortunately, we were able to fully model the design in 3D." He is pleased with the assignment and future, continued cooperation. "Through this project we came into contact with general contractor STATON Bouw and we already have the next joint projects planned. The cooperation is smooth and enjoyable. The contact on the construction site is good and we enjoy going there."
