Platform on new construction, renovation, restoration and transformation
A feast for the eyes and ears
As far as Interior Glassolutions is concerned, a project cannot be challenging enough. The new building for Van Mossel in Waalwijk is a prime example.

A feast for the eyes and ears

New construction Van Mossel in Waalwijk

Van Mossel's new logistics center with headquarters in Waalwijk is a feast for the eyes and ears. Already in the design phase, explicit attention was paid to temperature, air quality, light and sound to ensure a comfortable and productive workplace for all employees. Interior Glassolutions' glass systems fit this perfectly. "Thanks to our full-glass walls, daylight entry, optimal sightlines and mutual interaction are maintained, while noise pollution is not an issue," says Sales Manager Rob Helmons. "This is how we contribute to a pleasant workplace, where distracting stimuli are kept to a minimum."

Interior Glassolutions supplied approximately 150 m¹ of glass balustrades for the stairway.

Interior Glassolutions' glass systems are regularly prescribed in specifications. "For the new Van Mossel building, for example, architect VAN AKEN Concepts, Architecture & Engineering BV prescribed our sound-insulating full-glass walls with patented SYSTEMS CLIP-IN SILENCE 1338 and 2242 system," Helmons says. "In part because of its sound-insulating properties, which with Rw values of 38 dB and 42 dB go far beyond other single glass wall systems on the market. The sound values have been successfully tested by a notified body and the test reports are available upon request. Bouwbedrijf van de Ven accepted VAN AKEN's recommendation, after which we provided both the engineering, design, delivery and installation of the complete glass wall systems. In doing so, we completely relieved the contractor. Moreover, in this way we were able to guarantee the desired acoustic performance."

1.500 m2 sound-insulating full-glass walls

On the office floors (Building A/B) and in the porter's lodge (Building D) of Van Mossel, over 1,500 m2 mounted to sound-insulating full-glass walls, which are connected by means of the SYSTEMS CLIP-IN mounting system. "Thanks to this patented system, no capping is required for the vertical joints," Helmons explains. "This ensures a high degree of sound insulation and transparency."

150 m¹ of glass balustrades

Following the sound-insulating full-glass walls, Interior Glassolutions supplied approximately 150 m¹ of glass balustrades for the stairway. These 40 cm high and curved glass systems are mounted on top of a metal stud construction and give the new building a special cachet. Finally, Interior Glassolutions delivered a number of electric sliding doors. Particularly special here is the glass sliding panel at the level of the staircase, which slides past the glass wall at the push of a button.
