Complete E and W installation for distribution center

The installer was asked by main contractor BMN De Klerk for the project. Project Manager Leco Douw: "BMN De Klerk is one of our regular clients, which allows us to realize this type of project. For this project, the preliminary process started back in 2019. The long lead-up and good preparation allowed us to discuss and work things out in advance. As a result, the execution went smoothly."

For the climate system in the offices, Barth Installatietechniek realized underfloor heating and a VRF system from Mitsubishi Elektra. Cooling and heating are combined with an air handling unit from Robatherm, which is equipped with a DX coil.

Eight months of work

The distribution center is equipped with underfloor heating, combined with heaters. In addition, the installer installed light lines and the necessary connection points. Douw: "Initially we worked out the building-related installation. In addition, we incorporated the specific wishes of Damen Shipyards and provided the interior on the basis of their wishes. All in all, we managed to realize this in about eight months."

Running smoothly

Barth Installatietechniek can use the construction of this distribution center as a good reference. The building will receive the BREEAM 'Very Good' certificate, to which the installation is of course geared. Douw looks back on the project with satisfaction. "It went very smoothly. The fine cooperation with BMN De Klerk, Deltabrug, Damen and Risto allowed us to realize the construction in a short time - and all with a smile."
