Campus300 in Den Bosch is designed for change. The new educational environment for Avans Hogeschool must last for years, even as educational needs change. That's why Van Wijnen chose system walls from Maars Living Walls. "Our solutions are modular, relocatable and fully reusable," says Leo van der Kooij, sales project manager at Maars. "That makes them ideal for a dynamic learning environment."
Van der Kooij was hooked up early on by construction partner Van Wijnen. "We thought along about material choices, feasibility and logistics. That way you not only build smart, but also sustainable." Campus300 will have 4,800 square meters of MetaLine 100, 2,600 meters of Horizon glass wall and nearly 300 steel doors. "Everything produced in our own factory and installed by our own fitters. That way we keep the lines short and the quality high."
Campus300 was designed with change in mind. Education is on the move, and the physical environment must be able to move with it. "Our system walls can be moved, modified, or even reused in another building," says Van der Kooij. "That saves raw materials, waste and time. This is how we combine aesthetics and technology with circularity." The design also received attention. "We worked intensively with the architect on color schemes and details. Not a standard wall, but really matching the look of the building."
Campus300 shows exactly what Maars stands for: smart solutions that combine technology, aesthetics and sustainability. Since its founding, the company has been working on modular and circular wall systems. With almost 80 years of experience and a complete portfolio, Maars looks confidently at projects like Campus300. "It's very nice to work with such a good construction team on a place that moves with its users and with the times. Campus300 is ready for tomorrow's education, and we are proud of that."
