JYSK's distribution center in Lelystad is an important logistics hub for the Netherlands and Belgium. From this location, stores are supplied and goods are processed on a large scale. Game Kunststofvloeren provided the industrial floor finish in the distribution center.
Game Plastic Flooring has specialized in industrial plastic flooring for more than 40 years. The Dongen-based company develops and lays floors for various industries. “The composition of our industrial floors ensures that they are suitable for various applications, such as the chemical industry, pharmaceutical industry, aviation industry and food industry,” said owner Ben Game.
For JYSK's distribution center, Game Plastic Flooring provided the plastic industrial floors. In a logistics environment such as this, floors must comply with health and safety and environmental legislation. “The floors in the technical areas, for example, have to be very resistant to chemicals and impact loads in this distribution center.”
Game's strength lies in customization. “For each application we determine which floor is suitable, for example in terms of wear resistance, liquid proofing or chemical resistance,” Game explains. “One client works with acids, another with solvents. And we have also made floors for large aircraft maintenance or penitentiary facilities, for example. Every floor has different user requirements. So we always tailor the floor to the customer's requirements. In the world of plastics, you don't just do an Abc. Every floor is different and needs a specific approach.”
Although Game has already seen and realized floors in many different companies, this project for JYSK is also special to him. “We are happy to do it together with Willy Naessens Netherlands, Vrolijk and DAS Afbouw. Together we are realizing a very nice project.”
