The uniqueness of this project is that one deep well is being used for multiple homes. But that's not the only thing special: By cleverly upgrading the existing envelope, combined with a ground source heat pump, a NOM renovation when scaled up to 40% becomes cheaper and is also more circular.
In this so-called "Transformation Light" concept, the existing house is insulated and made as leak-tight as possible. When connected to one ground loop, Itho Daalderop's ground source heat pump (WPU) is used. The proven QualityFlow balanced ventilation system will also be installed. Because this system blows in centrally and extracts through smaller ducts, balanced ventilation is easier to apply in existing buildings. The video below explains this unique project.
