Both for new construction and renovation projects and commissioned by small, medium and large contractor parties in residential construction, commercial construction and (petrochemical) industry. "We know better than anyone else that passenger and freight elevators are an essential part of the logistical flows on a project site," says director/owner Remko Mol. "People and materials must, without failure or delay, be able to be transported safely with our elevators. Therefore, we leave nothing to chance. Applicable standards, procedures and safety protocols are strictly followed and we continuously invest in keeping the knowledge and know-how of our technical and certified employees up-to-date. As a result, our technical teams are deployable at the most diverse project sites."
Mol Lifting representatives like to be involved at an early project stage to select the most appropriate vertical transport solution for each project and project site. "In this, we expressly take into account the type of materials to be transported, as well as dimensions and weights, intensity of use, distances to be bridged and any transportation of construction site employees," says Arnoud Gerritsen, operational director at Mol Lifting. "In close cooperation with the contractor, we also look for the most suitable location for the elevator installation. In doing so, we take into account both the anchoring and logistical flows, creating an optimum in safety, capacity, efficiency and price."
Once the quotation is approved, Mol Lifting's technical planning team will visit the project site to discuss the delivery and assembly of the elevators in consultation with the foreman. At Mol Lifting in Dordrecht, the elevators are customized and tested to project size, after which they are also assembled in-house at the project site, Gerritsen said. "Currently, our elevators are being used in Rijswijk, among other places. For the realization of residential tower 'The Churchill Tower', we were commissioned by building consortium The Minster V.O.F. to supply a twin elevator, with two elevator cabins on one mast. This twinlift is anchored to the scaffolding and will be 80 meters high at its peak and count 2x 22 stops." Mol Lifting may also install two twin elevators for the new Sluishuis in Amsterdam, commissioned by VORM Bouw/Besix. "For the same contractor combination, we recently provided project STATE in Amsterdam with temporary passenger-goods elevators. In addition, we regularly supply various types of freight elevators for housing projects throughout the country."
Whereas until a few years ago passenger and freight elevators were often installed outside against the facade or scaffolding, as a result of urban densification and increasingly cramped construction sites, indoor installation is now regularly chosen. Both in new construction and renovation projects, for which Mol Lifting uses the existing or new elevator shaft. "Our fleet has approximately 200 freight and passenger elevators by 2020, which means we can provide a suitable solution for every project," Mol emphasizes. In all projects, safety is an important issue from start to finish. "As an organization, we are VCA certified. In addition, our freight and passenger elevators have all kinds of safety features, for example with regard to the exit points. A comprehensive checklist is followed both at the site inspection and during assembly. In the case of passenger-goods elevators, we also work together with a notified body, with whom we perform all set-up inspections. Upon request, contractor parties can operate the elevators themselves or use an elevator attendant, creating even greater efficiency. Finally, all modern elevators are equipped with a remote monitoring system, allowing us to monitor the elevators remotely."
