"We are specialists in climate control," says Commercial Director Alex Hallatu. "From our offices in Dordrecht and Haarlem, we design, install, maintain and manage central heating installations in the broadest sense of the word. Both for utility construction, industry and residential construction and for new construction, renovation and transformation projects."

Mampaey Installation Companies was founded in 1905 and has since completed a variety of projects. From ground-level houses to apartment complexes, from shopping centers to multifunctional accommodations and from office buildings to distribution centers. "In non-residential construction and industry, among others, we have gained a lot of knowledge in sustainable and energy-efficient collective generation systems (CHP systems, district heating, heat pumps and dry coolers), individual generation systems (air/water and water/water heat pumps), transport/distribution systems and delivery systems (underfloor heating, radiators, mechanical ventilation and heat exchangers) from a choice of manufacturers," Hallatu says. "In addition, we have extensive experience in LEAN and BIM implementations. Our knowledge and expertise is currently in particular demand in residential construction, where we work on behalf of housing associations, contractor parties and energy companies."

Long-term relationships

"As a full-service family business, we do not aim for one-off collaborations, but long-term partnerships in which we can clearly and properly define tasks, powers and responsibilities (demarcations) and reduce failure costs and risks on construction to an absolute minimum," Hallatu emphasizes. "By being well acquainted with each other's ways of thinking and working and by cooperating openly and transparently, the best projects and systems can be developed. The joint development of a Powertrain Skid in which all installation components are already built in is a telling example of this."

Innovative installation-Skid

The development of the Skid is the result of cooperation between Mampaey Installatiebedrijven, Van den Pol, Smit Elektra and Bemar, in the field of concept homes (standardized homes). But the Skid can also be excellently applied in other projects of other clients, Hallatu emphasizes. "In the near future, we will even introduce a spin-off for the renovation market." The Skid involves an arrangement with a heat pump including WTW, inverters and other components for BENG/NOM homes, which is already assembled in the prefab factory and can be installed plug-and-play. "This significantly reduces lead times on construction. In addition, fewer specialized hands are needed, thus responding to the expected hand shortage in the future. An additional advantage of the Skid is that we are not brand-dependent, but can select and integrate the most suitable installations/manufactures for each project. In order to best fulfill this, we like to be involved in a project as early as possible."

Certifications

"Mampaey Installation Companies is both ISO and BRL certified," says Project Manager Arthur van der Hilst. "We have a so-called 6000-21/00 certificate, which guarantees the quality of the design, construction and management of soil-based energy systems. We can take care of the aboveground part of the soil-based energy systems (energy generation, distribution network and delivery systems) entirely in-house. For the realization of the underground part (wells and soil heat exchangers) we work together with BRL SIKB 11000-certified partner companies."
