PVC roof for AG Logistics

In 2020, Kamil Dak laid no less than 1,489,326 m² of roofing. Part of that was laid on AG Logistics' distribution center in Ede. There the company applied vapor retarder, PIR insulation and 27,950 m² of white PVC roofing.

"Because of its longevity and the environment, PVC was chosen," Patrick van Lieshout and Romilda Brouwer of Kamil Dak tell us. "PVC can be taken back and recycled. They are separate components that you can take off in no time. And white reflects, so that prevents the building from getting too hot. It's also possible to put solar panels on it."

Kamil Dak is performing the work on behalf of HBE Circular Construction. The company often works for them, but in this case the pace is extra high because of the short construction period. Van Lieshout: "Everything had to be well planned and run through beforehand, and on the construction site itself this has to be followed up emphatically. The work is always done on time. That goes very well, because it is a very tidy site and HBE Circular Construction arranged everything precisely on the day. For us, that's very nice work."

Another challenge is logistics. It is important that all contractors keep to the schedule, because otherwise the next one won't be able to do its work on time. Van Lieshout: "So we have to supply it on time, because a day later it is no longer possible. That goes fine because there is good cooperation between the main contractor, us, the men from the construction and cladding. Here we show that we can deliver high-quality work in a short time."
