De Gaard, Utrecht | Window frames, windows, doors and sliding doors for apartments

Architects, property developers and clients like to work with experienced professionals for the realization of their designs. Stalku Geveltechniek from Zoetermeer is a specialist in the supply and installation of curtain walls, windows, doors and frames in steel, aluminum and plastic. The company was recently involved in the realization of the apartments for project De Gaard in Utrecht. Especially the assembly of the large and heavy sliding doors was a challenge. In addition, the stores on the first floor remained open during the work.

Stalku Geveltechniek offers a wide range of high-quality windows, doors, frames and facades in steel, aluminum and plastic. Thanks to their knowledge and experience, the specialists can always deliver a customized solution for the most diverse new construction and renovation projects: residential, commercial, schools and government institutions. Stalku's strength, however, lies not only in that wide range and fast delivery, but mainly in personal contact and building lasting relationships.

Stalku Geveltechniek supplied and installed the frames, windows and doors for the De Gaard project in Utrecht.

Broadloom and floor-to-ceiling lift-and-slide doors

Commissioned by main contractor De Vries en Verburg, Stalku Geveltechniek supplied and installed the recessed plastic frames, windows and doors for all the homes in block North and East of De Gaard in Utrecht. "The window frames were fitted with flashings and waterslaps in aluminum, while the windows were delivered in bicolor with a white color on the inside and a dark finish on the outside," says director Jeroen Boeters. "The challenge of this project, however, was the assembly of wall-to-wall and floor-to-ceiling height lift-and-slide doors - 5.3 meters wide and 2.7 meters high - equipped with high-quality glazing. These heavy elements were impossible to place by hand, so a special crane was needed to assemble them. Of course, we had to take into account the heavy traffic in the area and the fact that the stores remained open during the work."
