In 2022, Delft will have a new residential complex with energy-neutral homes for first-time buyers. Commissioned by BPL Pensioen, represented by Syntrus Achmea, VORM is constructing 227 mid-rent apartments in the third and final phase of project Buitenhof. VORM is developing its own 52 studio apartments for sale called "Tiles". During the development of this project, both the mobility of the new residents and additional living and working facilities for the new generation were taken into account.
On March 29, BPL Pension and VORM signed the agreement for the realization of the 279 studio apartments. With the signing, the land of the former Sporthal Buitenhof will be delivered to VORM, allowing VORM to start construction. The new apartment complex will be built on the Duke Ellingtonstraat in Delft.
Modern amenities
The new residential complex features additional living, recreational and work facilities. For example, the new residents can use office, meeting and lounge areas. In addition, ten electric shared cars and ten electric shared bicycles will be made available for use by all new residents. This will make owning a car unnecessary, reduce the number of cars on the road in Delft and reduce CO2 emissions in the city.
A sustainable complex
Due consideration has been given to the sustainability of the residential complex. The new building scores an EPC of 0, which means the building is self-sufficient in heat. The heat supply will be realized by NXT NRG. NXT NRG is a partnership between Klimaatgarant and VORM. Completion of the project is expected in the first quarter of 2022.
100 years of VORM
For a hundred years, VORM has been leaving its own distinctive mark on the Dutch landscape. VORM creates environments where people feel comfortable. For living, working and life. By connecting people and disciplines and sharing expertise, sustainable and innovative solutions for the future are realised. "From the small-scale construction company in 1919, in just under a century we have grown into one of the fifteen largest construction and property developers in the Netherlands. And we are proud of that. In the 1950s, VORM was already building for pension funds. We are proud to be in our 100e years to build affordable housing again!" - says Daan van der VORM, owner and director of VORM.
