At the residential towers of the imposing SPOT in Amsterdam, Casco Bouw Nederland's expertise is clearly visible. As an experienced concrete builder, it is shaping the new city district with its craftsmanship. "This is the biggest project we have ever done," says director Jan Hokse. The strength of Casco Bouw Nederland? Reliable cooperation from sketch design to completion.
Casco Bouw Nederland began in 2003 as a specialized tunnel builder, but has developed into an all-round concrete builder in residential and commercial construction. Among other things, the company provides foundations, cellars and shells for complete buildings. Casco Bouw Nederland distinguishes itself by arriving at a tailor-made approach together with the customer. "No-hassle guarantee," laughs Hokse. "We do what we say. And if something can't be done, we just say so."
At SPOT, Casco Bouw Nederland is constructing the complete concrete shells for four residential towers ranging from 41 to 106 meters in height. This is a gigantic project for the company, which involves quite a few challenges. "We are working with four construction streams at the same time here," Hokse says. "The logistical puzzle was big, but we worked everything to perfection."
For each tower, Casco Bouw Nederland uses its proven tunneling technique, in which floors and walls are poured in one cycle. "This allows us to build quickly and efficiently, without compromising on safety and quality," Hokse explains. "Within six to eight days a floor stands, which speeds up the whole process considerably. Thus, the finishing can follow immediately."
Cooperation is an important core value at Casco Bouw Nederland. "At SPOT, we work closely with the main contractor and all other parties involved. We know each other well, which makes communication and execution run smoothly." In addition, innovation plays a major role. "We work with the latest BIM techniques, where 3D models give all parties insight into the project. The model is alive, moves with the process and ensures that everyone is on the same page," Hokse explains.
Casco Bouw Nederland is also working for the first time with the IQlick system for the mounting of the balconies at SPOT and this is going extremely well. This unique way of balcony attachment lifts the residential towers to a higher level and shows again the innovative strength of Casco Bouw Nederland. With a planned completion in Q3 2025, the all-round concrete builder from Staphorst is working at lightning-fast, but always meticulous pace to immortalize its expertise in concrete structures in the skyline of Amsterdam.
