The complete infrastructure

The construction of the total above- and underground infrastructure for the construction of DC Distripark Maasvlakte was carried out by Jaro BV, which undertook a wide range of work. It carried out the complete earthwork and installed sewers, as well as pump wells and street gullies, foundations on the site, paving and asphalt and the company garden. In short, all common disciplines throughout the site.

For the construction of the total infrastructure on the 56,000 m2 plot, Jaro was on site for around nine months. Because the infrastructure planning was integrated into the construction planning, Jaro kept in close contact with the other parties on the construction site and carefully coordinated activities. This was done in good mutual consultation. There was transparent and clear communication, which prevented problems in planning and quality. What's more, by thinking about things constructively together, everyone actually made progress.

With an area of 56,000 m2, the infrastructure for Distripark Maasvlakte is definitely among the larger projects for Jaro. It then reaps the benefits of having all disciplines in-house and being able to carry everything out itself. Meanwhile, the size of the project is no longer an exception for Jaro. It has several long-term contracts running with municipalities, water boards, (semi)public authorities, construction companies and developers, for both infrastructure construction and maintenance. With so many disciplines under one roof, clients benefit from short lines of communication and fast switching, which represents time and cost savings.
