At home in steel structures for commercial construction

Craft and technology go hand in hand

Staalbouwbedrijf Kamphof supplied the complete steel structure for OBS De Punter in Giethoorn. The company drew the entire structure, did the engineering, fabricated the whole thing and assembled it on site.

Kamphof is a no-nonsense company where craft and technology go hand in hand. Meanwhile, owner Hessel Kamphof is the fifth generation at the helm. Together with his team he works in steel constructions, metalworking and roof and wall cladding. Thanks to those years of experience, they knew how to produce and assemble the regular steel structure for De Punter to complete satisfaction. "We often make steel structures for utility construction; that's what we feel at home in. This project came about without a construction meeting. From the drawing board to the assembly we were able to work in succession, without any headwind," says Hessel Kamphof.

In the workshop in Dwingeloo, everything was produced using high-quality equipment, such as a puddle robot, sawing machines, CNC machines and appropriate welding equipment. Transportation and assembly were also handled in-house. The total area involved is 1,100 m2, which was erected on behalf of Jansman Bouw. This is a regular client for Kamphof.
