Commissioned by De Vries en Verburg Stolwijk, Heating Service Installatietechniek has already provided many homes in Hof van Leyland with heat pumps. The first phase involved 90 luxury houses for sale and 25 apartments and the second phase involved 58 houses for sale.
Works Manager Dick Roeleveld: "The main requirement for this project was that the homes be gas-free. Heat pumps are already the main part of the work we do. Not every house is suitable for a heat pump, because a house has to be very well insulated. In addition, the heat must be taken from the ground or the air. Newly built houses are perfectly suited for this, and it is then a very comfortable way of heating with low heating costs."
The homes in Hof van Leyland are very well insulated and have underfloor heating. Air-to-air heat pumps were installed here. "The challenge is often in how you get the energy from the outside air in a neat way and where the installation is placed." In this case, it is in the roof cap. "Together with our supplier Breman Schoorsteentechniek, we developed a special heat pump roof cap for this. Aesthetics are important and so is the right construction, but limiting noise emission is even more important."
"In advance, the heat pump exterior parts were already put into this roof cap. Then these were lifted to the roof with a crane, where later the final assembly and connection followed." In addition to logistics, Heating Service Installatietechniek takes a critical look at the noise of the heat pump. "We have to comply with strict requirements and also find this very important. Noiseless is not possible, but the noise is almost imperceptible. Apart from a few delivery perils, the residents are very satisfied with the operation of the heat pump."
