'There's quite a bit to choose from'

The mailboxes are located in the entrances of The Ox in Amsterdam. The letter flaps are stylishly powder coated in the same color as the mailboxes. This choice gives the entrances a chic, rustic look. 

The mailboxes were designed, produced and delivered by BBK in Ede, Gelderland. "For The Ox it was a matter of three sets of post boxes," says Pascal Degen, general manager of BBK. "The architect provided us with the global guidelines and dimensions of the rooms in question, after which we designed the cabinets. Obviously within the current regulations of the postal law."

Responding to customer needs

Much more often BBK talks with clients who only have a train of thought. In that case, BBK investigates with them how they can best give substance to this. "After all, there is quite a lot to choose from," notes Marcel Muller, shareholder of BBK. "Are the mailboxes for inside or outside? Do they also serve as porch fencing? Do the cabinets come along the wall or is it attractive to design two cabinets and place them - with their backs against each other - in the middle of the hall? Should there be a row available for wheelchair users? What is the most appropriate locking system? Precisely that responding to diverse customer requirements is our specialty."

More than mailboxes and entrance panels

"Mailboxes and bell panels are our seasoned products. But you can also find loading cabinets for mobility scooters. In addition, the 'parcel box' - a product for private and business use - is in full development. This novelty will soon help both the deliverer and the recipient to get the most common parcels delivered to the right address the first time." 

The smartphone & smartwatch case

With the smartphone & smartwatch cabinet, BBK responds to the new law banning smartphones and smartwatches in education. Educators have in their hands a practical tool to safely and orderly store smartphones and smartwatches at the beginning of class and release them at the end of class. If desired, the cabinets can be equipped with chargers. 

New dots on the horizon

Since 2023, BBK has been part of the BESQ Group. Within this group, SME organizations are stronger, but while maintaining great autonomy.
