The Bergeijk-based Kempen Cladding was commissioned to provide the floor slabs for the floors, the roof slabs and the supply and install facade panels for CyrusOne's new data center.
"The first contacts were made in the middle of last year's construction holiday. In a short period of time we obtained the final order," knows business manager Edo Peek. "The complete package includes 18,000 m² of steel floor plates used for the construction of the floors. Furthermore, we installed 9,000 m² of steel roof plates. For the building's imposing facade, 11,000 m² of flat rock wool facade panels in different colors and 650 m² of flat aluminum cassette panels were used, among other things."

Kempen Cladding specializes in the supply and installation of roof and wall cladding in the broadest sense of the word, for both new construction and renovation projects. The company was founded 15 years ago by Mat Cuypers and Edo Peek and today has grown into a company with some 40 of its own employees, who, together with a large group of permanent subcontractors and self-employed workers, carry out the most diverse projects. In addition to the classic single-walled and insulated roof and wall cladding, plastic and bituminous roofing and steel floor plates for cantilevered concrete floors, the specialist has all the knowledge and products in house to meet most customer requirements. For example, the range also includes aluminum standing seam cladding, trespa, composite, eternite, aluminum and steel sandwich wall cassettes, plank profiles, curved trim and point profiles. Also included are rainwater drainage systems, concrete skirting, light steel structures, skylights and light domes.
"Our own headquarters with office space and workshop is a showcase for our products and expertise. We therefore do not shy away from any challenge. In the realization of CyrusOne's data center, time constraints and high quality requirements were major challenges, but above all the use of a non-ordinary cladding for the spacious facades. For a full year, we averaged eight to 10 people a week on site," Peek points out. "We were also involved in the Park Pavilion De Hoge Veluwe, which was recently opened by King Willem-Alexander, are working on the realization of a large DC for developer VGP and client Willy Naesens Nederland, and are going to build for Tacx their new business premises and adjacent Praxis in Oegsgeest."
