The complete electrical installation for Hof van Leyland, from the electricity in the house to the solar panels, was provided by Kosinus Elektrotechniek. Rutger de Koning: "We have been involved in the project from the beginning, which was developed by De Vries en Verburg itself."

A total of 88 owner-occupied units 85 rental units were built, including 25 rental apartments. "For this project it was decided to build gasless. This demands more from the electrical installation, because of the all-electric heat pump." In Hof van Leyland, the different types of floors also posed a challenge. "The second floor is a wide slab floor. This was already poured in concrete when the shell was built, so the installation had to be in there by then. The floor of the 2nd floor is a hollow-core slab floor, which was exposed for a long time. So the second part of the installation could only happen very late, during the finishing phase. We had to adjust our planning to this."

Installing solar panels also requires extra coordination, according to De Koning, because of the heat pump's outdoor unit that is also on the roof. "The panels obviously have to be delivered on time and we have to attach the hooks and panels while the scaffolding is still there. So in this we have to work exactly according to schedule. So far this has gone extremely well, but it is exciting every time. Fortunately, we have a good subcontractor who carries it out: Swinkels Solar. We have a good working relationship with this party. Swinkels Solar fitted all the houses with solar panels for us. We did the apartments in the first phase of the project ourselves."
