Take part in the energy transition: a Heat Cold Storage

Join the energy transition: a Heat Cold Storage Facility

Recently, it has become an even more important issue: we want to get rid of gas. We would like to use renewable energy. So there is a lot of talk about what the alternatives are. The result is often seen in new office buildings. Thermal energy storage (WKO) is often chosen. But what exactly is it and how does it work? We would like to tell you more about it in this article!

What is an ATC?

A Heat Cold Storage system is often abbreviated to CHP. It is a safe technique that you see more and more often. You see it in many business premises, but it can also be used in residential areas, schools and greenhouses, among other things. Heat and cold storage works in combination with a heat pump. In addition, 2 wells must be drilled. One for the heat source and another for the cold source.

Both heating and cooling

With an ATES, you can provide a heated room in the winter. Groundwater is then pumped from the heat source. This releases heat to the building. Then the cooled water passes through an underground system and enters the cold source.

But you also have convenience with a WKO in the summer. Groundwater is then pumped up from the cold source. An ideal option to avoid having to use an air conditioner, since that consumes much more energy.

Advantages of CHP system

If you choose WKO system, there are several advantages. In fact, in addition to no longer having to use gas, there are other positive points to mention. Namely, it can also be called a safe system.
Only high-quality materials are used. This ensures TSE online among other things, for the plastic covers.

Furthermore, using this form of energy is free. Note, however, that the installation can be quite expensive. So get several quotes. Despite the large investment, it is a smart investment. Especially when it comes to an office building. This is because from January 2023 energy label C is mandatory. Thanks to an ATES system, you will soon comply with this.
