One point of contact for the complete dismantling

From drywall and stud frame to tiling and painting

ACN Totale Afbouw took care of the complete completion of the eight new recreational homes at Roompot Boomhiemke vacation park on Ameland in the spring of 2023. The homes were then immediately put into use.

Plastering, tiling and painting

Main contractor Strandbaak asked ACN Totale Afbouw to completely finish the prefabricated homes, says ACN project manager Thomas Jacobsen. "All HSB parts had to be finished with drywall. We also installed the adjustment frames with doors and did the wall and floor tiling in the bathrooms and toilets. Finally, we also took care of the sauce and paint work in the homes."

Transportation of materials

Working on a Wadden Island does present some issues, such as the supply of materials. That was very well arranged on Ameland, Jacobsen noticed. "There is a carrier on the island, which has a warehouse on the mainland. That's where we brought our stuff. The carrier then made sure the materials got to the island and transported at the less busy times. This went extremely well." In terms of work, the challenge for the total remodeler was particularly in speed. For each home, there was one week for complete completion in the spring of 2023. "We then work in a train after each other. Sometimes there were even 16 of us working there at the same time."

One point of contact for the phase out 

Usually ACN Total Finishing works mainly on renovation and preservation projects for housing associations. This work was therefore a nice change. "The best thing about this project for us is the relief we offer. Because we can take on all parts, the customer has only one point of contact for the total finishing phase."
