A modern building naturally needs a sound electrical installation. At the Government Offices at Surinameweg 4 in Haarlem, this is in the hands of electrical installation firm Techno Telematica, which won the contract for this from main contractor BAM Bouw en Techniek. Despite all the challenges posed by current times, the project is progressing well and the installation firm is going to meet the deadline.

Techno Telematica was founded in 2007 and stands for knowledge, quality and sustainability. Three points that fit perfectly with the National Office in Haarlem and BAM Bouw en Techniek. Techno Telematica works in the disciplines of electrical engineering, low-voltage installations, data & telecommunications and fiber optics. In Haarlem, therefore, not only the lighting, sockets and cabling are being installed, but also
a DALI lighting control system.
This is being done with the help of Signify, which is the new corporate name of Philips Lighting. "The cooperation with BAM and Signify is going extremely well," says Vincent Elderkamp, project manager at Techno Telematica. "Of course, every project has the challenge of having everything go according to schedule. We started in May 2022 and finished in May of this year. We are going to achieve that at all costs. We live in a time when materials are hard to come by and have to deal with price changes. We are on top of that. The communication with BAM is very good, and we are very pleased about that, because that's not always the case. We are seen as a partner in this and not treated as a subcontractor."

During installation and when completed, regular inspections and inspection reports are carried out. This allows the end user and BAM to see exactly that everything is in order.
At Techno Telematica, they do both large and small projects in the field of electrical installations. What they particularly like about the project in Haarlem is that it is not just any office building, but a government office. Elderkamp: "It is a great opportunity that BAM has given us to be able to install the systems here; they really trust us. The nice thing about this is that the entire building has been stripped and we now have the opportunity to make a beautiful, completely new installation in it."
