Aluminium company Thermal2 bv of Roosendaal has built up a good reputation over the past decades as a manufacturer of aluminum windows, doors, sliding doors, folding walls and facades. The company is active in residential and commercial construction and focuses on new construction, renovation and conversion projects in a radius of about 100 kilometers around Roosendaal.
"In our factory we process the profiles, parts and accessories of several renowned system houses, such as Reynaers and Hueck Benelux," says Technical Commercial Director John Brands. "In doing so, we distinguish ourselves through a very broad and complete service. We have all the knowledge and expertise to carry out projects completely under our own management. From calculation, work preparation and engineering to production, transport and assembly and including associated glazing and finishing. This allows us to optimally serve our customers and relieve them of all their worries. Moreover, we can switch quickly if projects require it."
Thermal2 is active in both project-based and private residential construction, office markets, schools and government buildings. "A specialty is the conversion of old factory buildings into residential buildings, in which our flexibility is shown to best advantage," Brands said. "But we don't shy away from other challenges either. As long as it involves aluminum window and door systems in exterior facades." A major advantage of aluminum is its low weight, he says, which allows for easy processing, logistics and assembly. "Also, aluminum is very easy to maintain. Aluminum window frames and doors can easily last 30 years without incurring high maintenance costs. At the end of its useful life, the material can be recycled infinitely many times and in a cost-efficient manner, without sacrificing quality. This makes aluminum a very sustainable choice in the long run. Those who choose Thermal2's aluminum façade systems are also assured of a very beautiful and high-quality façade finish."
In terms of product innovations, of course, Thermal2 is dependent on the various system houses. That does not mean, however, that the processor sits back. On the contrary. "Business-wise, we are constantly implementing innovations," Brands emphasizes. "For example, to optimize our production processes, we added a second fully automatic processing machine to our machine line. This has nearly doubled our production capacity." Thermal2 is also highly committed to digitization. "Our ambition is a completely paperless production, with all machines controlled directly and fully automatically from our work preparation. This will allow us to work even more effectively, with the same number of people. Moreover, discrepancies in the production process can be quickly and effectively overcome via the digital network and we are not faced with unexpected stoppages."
Thanks to the additional production capacity as well as an expansion of the workforce, Thermal2 is able to take on even more and even larger projects. "Currently, we have 22 permanent employees. This recently included an assembly manager, who directs the assembly teams and supervises construction projects from A to Z. He is also the point of contact when it comes to construction projects. In addition, he is the point of contact in terms of assembly planning."
Over the past five years, the aluminum company's sales have grown by about 10 to 15 percent annually. "This created the opportunity, for example, to take ownership of our premises in Roosendaal. A milestone of which we are immensely proud and which will provide us with long-term stability," Brands said. A renewal of the vehicle fleet is planned for the coming year. A conscious choice has been made here for separate assembly buses and trailers, so that maximum flexibility is also possible in this area.
