Breman Installation Group is a family business with over 1,600 installation experts, who passionately build a future full of sustainable, technical installations every day. "We aim for 'Everyone Energy Positive' and are involved in the entire life cycle of our installations," says Ton Wolters, business advisor at Breman Installation Group's Energy Transition Knowledge Center. "We are fully committed to the energy transition and in this we offer sustainable solutions for people, earth and society."
"To achieve a better living and working climate for ourselves and our next generations, we take care of the complete process from advice to research, (BIM) design, prefabrication and assembly," Wolters emphasizes. "From hr boilers to heat pumps, solar panels, ventilation systems and smart thermostats, which we also service and maintain over the long term. If necessary, components are refitted, bringing sustainability, energy efficiency and life extension together even better. And when installations reach the end of their technical lifespan, we actively seek opportunities to harvest, recirculate or refurbish components. This is how we complete the sustainable circle."
In 2025, Breman Installation Group will exist no less than 100 years. "This is also the moment we want to give back more energy than we consume to our employees, customers and the earth," Wolters says. "To make this possible, we ensure a positive energy balance on all fronts. From our vehicle fleet to our premises and our people's homes. Moreover, we are continuously developing energy-positive solutions. Our role is increasingly changing from a follower to a leader. Whereas in the past we only came into the picture in the final phase before implementation, we are now increasingly involved in the pre-initiation phase. With sustainability and energy transition in mind, this shift is essential. After all, an optimum in sustainability, energy efficiency and comfort can only be achieved if the building envelope of the home and the installation techniques are perfectly balanced. Our Energy Transition Knowledge Center has been pushing this well and high for several years. For example, by entering into discussions with contractors, housing corporations and property owners, we hope to draw even more attention to the need for early and integral chain cooperation. The same applies to themes such as trust, transparency and knowledge sharing."
The main purpose of the Energy Transition Knowledge Center is to collect knowledge from the Breman installation companies, clients and contractors, says Wolters. "But also to cluster this knowledge and give it back to the market in understandable language. We give advice on making homes and complex buildings more sustainable, so that the right choices can be made very early on in the process. In doing so, we prefer to take the client as our starting point. After all, it is easier to align ambitions and interests when they are approached from the customer's perspective." Because it has become apparent that many property owners have limited knowledge of installation techniques, the Energy Transition Knowledge Center has launched workshops and training courses. "This makes property owners (even) better discussion partners in projects. Moreover, our CO2 roadmap, with which we help housing corporations get a grip on the sustainability of their entire property portfolio. Using data such as complex strategy, insulation value and transition vision heat and based on current knowledge and standards, we can advise and realize strategic and regret-free initiatives for the next ten years. Initiatives that benefit not only our clients, but also their tenants, surroundings and our environment."
