On Wednesday, December 2, 2026, Rodruza will host the first edition of the Rodruza Facade Symposium. Under the theme ‘Buildings, Facades & Generations,’ Woerden Castle will serve as the backdrop for an inspiring afternoon focused on architecture, facade design, and the contribution of brick to a sustainable living environment.
The built environment is constantly evolving. Changing societal needs, sustainability, and new insights into architecture call for a forward-looking approach to the way we design and build. What role does the facade play in this? And how do we connect architectural quality, material use, and sustainability with the generations of tomorrow?
These issues will be the focus of the first Rodruza Facade Symposium. With contributions from Floris Alkemade, architect, former Chief Architect of the Netherlands, and urban planner, and Ayla Stomp, an associate at JADE Architects, the symposium offers various perspectives on the future of our built environment.
In addition to inspiring lectures, there will be plenty of opportunities to exchange knowledge and meet with colleagues from the architecture and construction industries. An afternoon where ideas, insights, and practical experiences come together, with a focus on dialogue about future-proof construction.
