For Oostpoort Plot 1F, a residential tower with 100 apartments, HSB Bouw was surprised at a crucial moment by a shortage of scaffolding. The contracting company knocked on the door of Leenman Materieeldienst B.V., known for flexible switching and custom scaffolding. Director Jaap Ooms explains how the company jumped in and quickly delivered the right scaffolding material.
Leenman Materieeldienst supplies scaffolding of all shapes and sizes. The company is flatly organized, which allows for quick switching. “When we say A, we also say B. Taking responsibility is right up our alley,” says Ooms. The core group of 75 clients has relied on the same quality and reliability for years.
One of Leenman's special features is its own seventh-floor system: an extra-wide scaffolding system that the company developed itself some 25 years ago. “Many masonry companies and contractors really like this system. Because of the width, you have a lot more efficiency.” The system is supplied by few other companies, making it a distinctive strength.

For Oostpoort, HSB Bouw came with a clear order: additional scaffolding, delivered quickly. “HSB Bouw knocked on our door quite late for scaffolding. They had a challenge and we gladly accepted it together.” Among other things, Leenman Materieeldienst delivered the seventh-floor system where space allowed. On other parts, for example along a ditch, on the contrary, narrower scaffolding had to be used. “HSB Bouw had a bite-sized job here, but regularly we also think strategically about the right equipment,” Ooms emphasizes. The request for Oostpoort Plot 1F arrived in October 2025, and the equipment was delivered accurately but at lightning speed in November.
HSB Bouw is a well-known client for Leenman Materieeldienst. The cooperation runs smoothly, according to Ooms: “We both work solution-oriented and help each other where necessary. Just the right mentality, as far as we are concerned.” Although Leenman Materieeldienst joined the project ad hoc but quickly focused, its approach fits well with Oostpoort's sustainable ambitions. “We use scaffolding material that will last 25 to 30 years,” she says. A typical working method for Leenman Materieeldienst: always reliable and future-oriented. “We are the collaborative partner in support and scaffolding.”
