Ector Hoogstad Architecten designed Feringa Building, for which premium coil coater Euramax Coated Products is providing five AnoMax colors. The colors will lend a warm and sophisticated aesthetic to the building envelope.
Joost Ector: "Feringa Building is a very large building, which also had to be earthquake-proof. That's why we opted for a lightweight metal facade. We didn't want it to be too flat and we thought the facade surfaces were too large to simply divide them up with horizontal and vertical seams. These considerations led to the wobblestones in the final design. In terms of color, we also did not want the end result to be flat. Hence the choice to provide the aluminum composite scales/wobblers with a number of color shades that are close together and together create a blended image. The chosen AnoMax colors refer to the technical function of the building and at the same time are warm and friendly."
Jorrit Scheepers, Architectural Advisor BNLX, DACH & Scandinavia: "Feringa Building is a landmark in the Benelux and far beyond. I am therefore very much looking forward to the final result. The 5 AnoMax colors have the same color depth as anodized aluminum. By using a 3-layer PVDF coating system with special effect pigmentation, the same aesthetic is obtained as with anodizing. The color depth and color consistency of the prepainted aluminum combined with the cost-effectiveness of the continuous strip painting process make AnoMax the ideal solution for large and complex facades."
