Renovating roofs with as little inconvenience to residents as possible. This is the task for IsoBouw in the Molenaarhoeven in Rosmalen. Thanks to the SlimFix RenoTwin insulation and renovation elements, the company is succeeding well.
Rayon manager Stefan Duerinck: "We were engaged by KnaapenGroep, the contractor on behalf of housing association JOOST. The goal is to achieve a substantial label jump. In this project, the roof boarding is not always straight. One possibility would be to insulate the roof from the inside, but that would cause extra inconvenience to the residents. That was not desirable in this case."
In order to properly insulate and reinforce the roof, with as little burden on the residents as possible, the contractor is applying the SlimFix RenoTwin element. The roof boarding can then remain in place, limiting the inconvenience. "At eight o'clock in the morning, we can take off the tiles and hit the roof sheeting immediately afterwards. The SlimFix RenoTwin reinforces the structure and provides good insulation. At noon, the house is then watertight again. So the contractor can work much faster this way. There is also little dust or mess"
The roof panels are fitted with Avi nest boxes. These wooden nesting boxes are factory fitted into the insulation core on the gutter side. Duerinck: "This allows KnaapenGroep to quickly and easily comply with the 'Nature Protection Act'." Waste management is also important for all parties involved. "The waste was put into special bags; the polystyrene is 100% recyclable and is used as a raw material for new products. This is certainly a reason why KnaapenGroup chose us. In addition, we provide a real total concept, with which we distinguish ourselves."
This project found a good solution to working in a small neighborhood, with little space. "A lot of consultation is very important to discover how to work together even better. A hub was realized outside Rosmalen. Here we deliver our stuff, the day's supply is then driven into the neighborhood." IsoBouw is also thinking about the future. "We are realizing a gable overhang at this project. This makes it easy to insulate the facade on the outside in the future."
