Family business supplies steel structure and stairs for new Elektramat building

Elektramat is expanding at its beautiful sight location in Enschede. Family business Tasche is providing the steel structure and steel stairs there. Tasche was also asked for the already existing part, so the employees know perfectly what is expected of them.

"It involves about 150 tons of steel. For us it was not a very big project, but the special feature was in the coordination with the client. We engineered, produced and delivered everything just-in-time so that everyone could work as effectively as possible without getting in each other's way," says Coen Wesselink of Tasche Staalbouw. To make this happen, the company only delivers what can be assembled immediately. Only then is the next shipment delivered. "For this project, we also assembled the channel plate floors on behalf of Groothuis Bouwgroep," says Wesselink.

Tasche Steel Stairs manufactures and assembles the stairs for the industrial hall, the outdoor area and an interior staircase for the office area. Robert Zegger of Tasche Steel Stairs says, "Three years ago, we also made the first phase. The steel stairs and walkways had to fit together perfectly. This is now an extension, so we know what we have to do. By the end of this year, all the stairs will be in."

On time and as agreed

For Tasche and her client, the project is running on schedule and satisfactorily, despite rising steel prices and the shortage of raw materials. Wesselink: "We purchased as economically as possible from different suppliers and we took this into account during engineering. This way we can still deliver on time and as agreed."
