Renewability logo for WEBO on concept I and II facade carpentry

WEBO has recently been authorized to affix the 'Class 2 Renewability Logo' to all its Concept I and II facade joinery products (windows and frames). The biobased content of the wooden building products is independently and uniformly established by SKH according to the BRL 7010 and serves as a supplement to the KOMO® certificate. With the predicate RENEWABLE, WEBO demonstrates that the wood used as a raw material can be renewed and thus makes a major contribution to the sustainability of the construction sector.

Future-proof raw material

The Dutch government is aiming for a circular economy in 2050, using inexhaustible, recycled and bio-based raw materials as much as possible. As a result, the construction sector faces major challenges: for example, there are increasingly stringent requirements for the circularity and energy performance (BENG and NOM) of buildings, and CO2- and nitrogen emissions are further reduced. At the same time, 100,000 new housing units must be built each year in the coming years due to the housing shortage.

Wood is playing an increasing role as a building material to meet all sustainability, CO2-, nitrogen and PEFAS regulations. The Renewability Logo highlights this and shows the importance of wooden window frames in a circular economy.

In addition to the Renewability Logo, WEBO holds the following seals of approval and certifications: KOMO®-certification (including attestations and the Building Code connection documents), CE certification (including fire-resistant window frames), HOUT100% assurance and PEFCtm- and/or FSC®- and STIP®-certificates.

Inventors in the carpentry industry

WEBO positions itself as "Inventors in the Carpentry Industry" and is constantly looking for new applications that are ready for 2050. Thus WEBO's prefabricated HSB elements can already be fitted with window frames and even a complete exterior shell (Scaffoldless® Building).

Also, the Circular-Frame® from WEBO is a fine example of a future-proof product. In fact, this window frame consists of an inner and outer part, whereby the outer side can be disassembled and easily replaced. The inside is not exposed to weathering, so the wood does not need any processing and is wear-resistant.
